Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stands as one of the most iconic landmarks in Delhi, India. Built with red sandstone and marble, this towering minaret exemplifies a perfect blend of Indo-Islamic architecture. Rising to a height of about 73 metres, it is adorned with intricate carvings and verses from the Quran.

Qutb-ud-din Aibak began the minaret around 1199 and his successor Iltutmish added more storeys; later rulers repaired the top. The surrounding Qutb complex includes the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, the 1,600-year-old Iron Pillar and the Alai Darwaza gateway.
