Jal Mahal is an 18th-century palace standing in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. When the lake is full, four of its five floors are underwater, so it seems to float on the water, with the Aravalli hills and Nahargarh Fort behind it.

The palace was restored in the 2000s but is not open to the public. Most visitors stop on the lakeside promenade on the way to or from Amer Fort.
